OUR MISSION

Our mission is to address food insecurity and homelessness in the Greater Bridgeport, CT area. We pursue our goal by providing hot meals and housing support services to individuals in need.
Square Up For Others, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit volunteer-based organization that feeds the homeless and remains in their corner.
After identifying gaps within our current systems, our team has designed processes to mitigate the gaps. Resulting in individuals remaining on the road to recovery.
We are unique in our approach. Serving hot home-cooked meals shifts a person's mentality from defensive to welcoming. These shifts allow our team to establish a better connection in a shorter period of time. Utilizing existing relationships with organizations also helps us to reduce the time spent on getting individuals the help they need. As a direct result of these efforts, petty crimes are being reduced and there is an increase in contributions to the city via taxes, one person at a time.
Once our team has established a foundation, we work hard to ensure we connect individuals to the correct resources that can help transform them into productive citizens.
